Allen Senior Recreation Center

Offering unique programs, classes and trips, Allen Senior Recreation Center proves that at age 60 and better, life’s just getting started! Members enjoy a variety of free and low-cost programs, trips, special events, activities and classes. Other amenities include a fully-furnished fitness room, computers, billiards, ping pong tables and a library.

Transportation

Transportation is provided to and from ASRC to Allen resident members who do not have transportation or cannot attend the facility by any other means. Transportation is provided on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please call 214.509.4821 for more information.

Membership & Passes

Enjoy all that LIFE in Allen has to offer when you join Allen Senior Recreation Center! Members benefit from affordable access to high-quality equipment, experienced instructors, convenient hours and caring, professional staff.

Membership is open to individuals ages 60 and over, along with their spouses. Resident rates include Allen residents and employees working for businesses, corporations and organizations located within the Allen city limits.

2023 Membership Changes

Multi-facility access will not be offered for new or renewing members in 2023. Those who wish to access multiple recreation centers can purchase separate memberships - or, if visiting infrequently, purchase a day pass to visit a facility without joining. Members at Allen Senior Recreation Center will receive free access to Ford Pool as a membership perk.

Seniors must be 60 years or older to join Allen Senior Recreation Center (ASRC) or access discounted Senior Rates at other Allen Parks & Recreation facilities. Existing members will be permitted to renew their Senior Memberships, even if they are not yet 60 years old. Spouses of ASRC members may join at any time, regardless of age.

The Center-Link newsletter (PDF) connects members to all things Allen Senior Recreation Center (ASRC)! Browse monthly opportunities for crafts, meals, fitness and fun learning programs. Browse online or pick up a copy at the facility.

Parties & Rentals

The Allen Senior Recreation Center multipurpose room is available to rent. The 6,000-square-foot room, which features hardwood floors and a stage, can be divided into three sections.

Allen Parks & Recreation offers full-time and part-time job opportunities at Allen Senior Recreation Center and other recreation facilities. We also contract with enthusiastic, qualified instructors to teach group fitness classes and other programs.
